On 13th December 1935 this aircraft is recorded as being struck off charge with it being beyond economical repair but there is no actual indication of an accident. This may relate to the loss of an unidentified RAF aircraft on 2nd July 1935 in Bridlington Bay when two crew were rescued and the aircraft was salvaged. If it was indeed this aircraft, the press report for this incident states the aircraft was from RAF Catfoss and was on a bombing practice when it made a forced landing in the sea after both engines failed. The airmen were rescued by the Bridlington boat "Kernoozer" after climbing onto the aircraft's wing and were taken the quarter mile into Bridlington. Often the press refered
to Catfoss as being where the aircraft was from although many where on detachment to Catfoss at the time for gunnery exercises.
