On 18th January 1919 this aircraft stalled and spun into the ground near Marske whilst the pilot was making a
turn on approach to land at Marske. The aircraft destroyed and the pilot sadly was killed.
Camel F4010 was built by Ruston, Proctor & Co Ltd at Lincoln.
Pilot - 2nd Lt Leslie George Woolhouse RAF, aged 27, of Parson's Green, Fulham, London. Commemerated on a special memorial at Fulham Palace Road Cemetery, London.
Flight Cadet Woolhouse was granted a temporary commission in the RAF as (Acting) Second Lt on 19th July 1918.
