On 10th May 1918 this aircraft hit telegraph wires on coming into land at Marske and crashed injuring the pilot and destroying the aircraft.
Camel C93 was built by Nieuport & General Aircraft Ltd at Cricklewood. The pilot must have sustained injuries in this incident from which he did not
fully recover as he relinquished his commission on the grounds of ill health on 8th January 1919.
