Sopwith Camel C1662 at Marske.

On 20th May 1918 this aircraft spun into the ground near Marske killing the pilot, sadly no further details as yet are known about the incident or the aircraft other than the aircraft was built by Boulton & Paul at Norwich.

Pilot - 2nd Lt Wilhelm Jacobus Knoll RAF, aged 23, probably of Austrian origin. Buried Saltburn & Marske by the Sea Cemetery, Yorkshire.
