On the 30th of May 1943 this aircraft was written off at Thornaby Airfield when it overshot the runway. Cat E2/FA damage was sustained.

The aircraft was built by Lockheed-Vega at Burbank, California and purchased without contract by the B.P.C. It was delivered to the UK by sea, arriving in May 1941. After assembly and acceptance at MU it was issued to 1 (c)OTU at Silloth on an as yet unspecified date. It was transferred with the unit to Thornaby in March 1943.
