On 15th February 1916 this aircraft was badly damaged in a gale at Redcar.

Boxkite 8450 was delivered to Redcar from the makers Bristol's of Filton on 22nd December 1915. It was written off
as a result of the damage at Redcar following the gale as it was deemed beyond economical repair, it was delete from
stock as of 1st March 1916.
