On 1st February 1916 this aircraft was badly damaged at Redcar after a skid broke on landing. Damage was put so severe that it was reduced to being used for spares and was deleted from stock on 3rd February 1916. The Boxkite had been built by Bristol at Filton and was delivered to Redcar for erection on 15th November 1915.
