Caudron GIII at Redcar.

On the 20th of February 1916 this aircraft was wrecked in a force-landing at Redcar. After this incident it was deleted as "destroyed" with effect from the 11th of March 1916. The aircraft had been in service for some time, made by Aeroplanes Caudron and shipped to the UK for delivery to Redcar on the 14th of July 1915. It was transfered to RNAS Scarborough on 19th August 1915. It suffered Cat R/FA damage on the 15th of September 1915 (possibly at Redcar, but possibly at Scarborough), it was then repaired and returned to service at Redcar at some stage prior to its wrecking there in February 1916.
