On 26nd May 1916 this aircraft crashed on landing at Redcar and was badly damaged.
Pilot - Flight Sub-Lt George Richard Gordon Daglish RNAS.
George Daglish joined the RNAS on 22nd September 1915. He died on 1st March 1917 and is buried in Wallsend (Church Bank) Cemetery, Northumblerland. His death is registered at Sleaford which could suggest something related to Cranwell airfield. His brother Robert Findley Daglish also served as a pilot in WW1.
Caudron 3864 was built by Aeroplanes Caudron and delivered to AAP Killingholme on 22nd June 1915 where it remained for some months. It was transferred to RNAS Redcar on 9th February 1916 and on 14th May 1916 it crashed avoiding a collision
at Redcar. It was repaired and returned to service only to be written off and deleted from stock on 22nd June 1916.
