Avro 504 2931 was built by S.E. Saunders Ltd for the RFC from which it was transferred, as a dual control trainer,
to the RNAS at RNAS Flying School Redcar on 11th May 1916. Following this accident at Redcar in January 1917 it was
repaired and returned to service. It then suffering another accident on 21st July 1917 after which it was again repaired.
It then suffered a more serious accident in October 1917 and was deleted from stock on 26th January 1918 deemed beyond
economic repair.
