Avro 504 1477 built by Brush E.E. Co. Ltd at Loughborough and delivered to RNAS Redcar on 27th February 1916 where it was assembled, tested
and accepted on 31th March 1916. Following this accident it appears to have been sat in an un-repaired state until finally being deleted from stock on 4th May 1917 having been deemed beyond economical repair. It is possible that it may have been considered for repair hence the time between accident and it being written off.
