Slingsby Sedburgh glider near Sutton Bank.

On the 15th of November 1991 the pilot of this glider apparently thought he could make a glide "straight onto finals" and land but the glider sank and, rather than selecting a field, chose to fly on. By putting the nose down then pulling up he managed to just clear a bank but in doing so stalled onto rough ground damaging the glider seriously at Sutton Bank. The pilot was not thought to have appreciated the poor performance of this 1950's glider.

Pilot - Unknown, ok.

Passenger - Unknown, ok.

I have yet to locate the site of where the glider came down though it is doubtful that there will be any sign of it.
