On the 18th of October 1992 this glider had just taken off with an aero-tow when it fly into a rain shower. The pilot decided to land through the end of the shower but was blinded by a combination of rain and the low sun. In manoeuvring to see through the canopy side a heavy landing was made 17.00hrs at Sutton Bank.
