Blanik glider near Sutton Bank.

On the 1st of May 1992 this glider made a field landing after the pilot encountering sink. He miscalculated the wind strength and his rate of descent and hit the near boundary hedge with a wing tip on his approach to land in a field. This caused the glider to swing around and it landed sideways, twisting the fuselage at 14.00hrs. The pilot was on his first solo flight.

Pilot - Unknown, injured.

I have yet to locate the site of where the glider came down though it is doubtful that there will be any sign of it.
