On the 25th of May 1991 this glider crashed on launch at Sutton Bank, killing the pilot. It occurred on the pilot's first flight on type and after a slow initial launch the glider was rotated into an apparently normal climb attitude until the cable came away at about 500ft. The glider was seen to pitch nose down until over the vertical and crashed near Sutton Bank.

Pilot - Mr Paul Raynor (or Rayne), aged 40, of Bradford. Killed.
